About Dr. Christine Turner
Christine Turner has a doctorate in Multi-Faith Spiritual Direction and a Master’s Degree in Education. She is an author, teacher, and speaker and has piloted a program on healing family dynamics which she teaches in group settings. She coaches families, groups, and individuals on the ins and outs of healthy family relationships. She understands trauma, dysfunction, and sexual abuse trauma and how these go on to affect the lives of families. Her coaching ties together healing from past pains, the psychology behind how needs are met within family systems, and how God ultimately heals and meets every need. As a former educator, she understands how to relate to and build connections with children and adolescents.
Christine Turner believes that after knowing Him, God’s greatest desire for us is to have loving, safe, family relationships. She believes that the walk of faith is three-dimensional; coming to know and love God, learning to love ourselves, and becoming safe and closely connected in our relationships.
Dr. Turner’s journey to becoming a coach began with her willingness to work on her own trauma and resulting family dysfunction. She was led to write her first book, Beloved from the Start, which details the ins and outs of how God healed her heart and self-image after experiencing sexual abuse. From there, Christine worked with other women who had experienced trauma. She discovered that addressing trauma alone does not solve the relationship issues that carry on in the families of her clients. Thus, she wrote Families Matter, You Matter and began teaching Families Matter Workshop. Her desire is that every family be equipped with the ground rules for solving the normal conflict within family relationships.
